EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival is one of my all-time favorite events at Disney. This event literally allows you to eat and drink your way around the world. With EPCOT now reopened they have brought us this amazing festival early this year.
To truly enjoy this event and to optimize your time, money and to reduce the stress you really need to have a few things in place. It’s easy to be overwhelmed by this event but with a little help and a few tips you can make this festival a fun time for the whole family.
How To Make Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival Fun
Make A Budget
I know that sounds nuts but trust me when I say that when the sights and smells hit you it can get crazy. So make a budget as to what you are willing to spend. Then purchase a gift card. This way you will know when that gift card is empty you’re done for the day. No overspending and you know what you spent for the day.
Make a Plan
Pick up a Marketplace Passport. This way you can have an idea of what is being served. You can decide before getting in line with what you want to order. Not only does this make things faster it also allows you to decide what you really want to try the most. You may decide having Warm Chocolate Pudding is more enticing than a sample of Nachos(or both like I did ). This is also a great way of knowing in advance what is being served throughout the park so you can sort of pick and chose what to eat.
Go Early
I have learned if you enter early as things are opening you beat the crowds and the heat. No one wants to be eating in 90-degree whether it’s just hot, sticky, and uncomfortable. Go early enjoy morning temps, eat, and then find a shady spot in the late afternoon.
Book a Room
Ok, big tip here if you plan to drink alcohol at the festival book a room. Not only is this a convenient way to enjoy all the evening events. It is also safer for you and your family. Plus after all the eating you’re going to be doing it’s nice to go back and take a nap.
Final Tip
Finally, my biggest tip I can give you is to have fun and be adventurous. Don’t be afraid to try something new just because you can’t pronounce it. not being able to say it doesn’t mean it’s not delicious. So go have fun, eat, be merry and most of all make memories that last forever.
To help reduce the stress of planning and knowing where to stay and maneuvering the new pass reservation system using a travel agent. They can save you time, stress, and sometimes money by knowing when sales happen.
Tell me what’s your tip for attending the food and wine festival? What’s the most interesting thing you have tried?
